Two Neat Astronomy Articles

Stephans QuintetWe recently posted two exciting astronomy-related articles in the Learn section of Chevron Cars. So much is going on in that field, it is hard to keep up!

One article is about a binary black hole system seen by NASA's orbiting Chandra X-ray observatory. The two black holes are rotating around each other at incredible speeds, spewing vasts amount of gas into space. The picture of this interaction is incredible, as is the fact that we are even able to understand what is going on.

A second article asks if there is life elsewhere in the universe. Also studded with wonderful images, like the one shown here of Stephan's Quintet, a set of five colliding galaxies, the article discusses the SETI project and how anyone might get involved in the search for extraterrestial life. Believe it or not, we can all play a part with our computers!

License to Fly

Daniel's DrawingOne of the most popular games on our webiste over the past decade has been License to Fly. It really is a unique game, unlike anything else out there. It was made specifically for Cary Carrier and the Babies. It takes a great deal of skill to send the baby cars flying up into Cary's waiting arms, eh decks. Sometime it works, sometimes they need a parachute.

The earlier game had three levels and was made in Shockwave. We rebuilt it in Flash, making the game easily re-sizeable, and added a fourth level. We kept much of the original look but made the graphics slicker and more modern. So far the response has been great.

Do try the new version of License to Fly on our Games page. Do let us know what you think and have a great time playing!

Daniel's Drawing

Daniel's DrawingChevron Cars fan Daniel sends us this intriguing car idea with these words: "This is my city bus Chevron car! His favorite food is pizza! And he helps citizens get to places!"

Thank-you Daniel for your idea and the cleverness of making a city bus into a Chevron Car. I am sure kids and adults in most American cities would love to have this kind of vehicle to move them around. It sure would put everyone in a good mood!

And while we are at it, given that Chris City Bus likes pizza so much, would it not make sense for Payton Pizza to follow him around, keeping both Chris and his passengers happy?
