Collectors Pay Top Dollar for Rare Chevron Cars
Certain Chevron Cars are selling for top dollar at online auction sites, with select individual cars listed for up to $80-$100 each.
The most valuable cars are some of the Special Edition or Limited Edition cars that are no longer available except at online auction sites such as eBay — particularly Hope 2001 or Davey Driver, for example.
The Hope 2001 car was made in October 2001 as a Special Edition car to commemorate breast cancer awareness. Hope was only sold in service stations at the time.
Davey Driver is a green Limited Edition car (not to be confused with his purple regular-edition sister, Danni Driver), and was available both in service stations and online. Davey was made in June, 1998 and sold out around the Summer of 2004. No more Davey Driver cars will ever be made. Davey sells for about $50 at auction.
Other cars are also in high demand, like the recently released Faith breast cancer awareness car (October, 2004), as there were fewer of these cars made than some of the other models. Though Faith is no longer available at the Chevron toy cars website, the car is still reasonably priced at online auction sites. You should be able to find Faith at an online auction site as well.

I have every car including the velvet bag Gold Dusty and the limited edition Travis Tanker (#22 of 100). The first several cars came in cardboard boxes before Chevron started packaging in clear plastic...I have all of those too.

I have the entire collection except the very limited edition Gold Dusty. That one goes on ebay for way too much money. All of mine are all still in the boxes and have never been out. I love this collection, however I may end up selling them soon.

Want to sell a collection. Have over 40, never opened boxes with seals. What is the best way to sell these? Ebay, Craigslist or can I sell on this blog?
[Carol-- We do not allow Chevron Cars fans to sell their cars or exchange contact information on the Chevron Cars Blog. We recommend using a different site, such as the ones you mentioned. Good luck! -Chevron]

We have a Chevron cars print that is triple matted and about 2.5' x 3.5'. It shows all the Chevron cars facing you with a concessions stand behind the cars and the marquee says Car-toon Nite. It is signed by "Brown".
We got this at a garage sale so do not know its origin, but are sure it must be worth something since the cars are so collectible and this is a high quality print.
Does anyone have any idea how much this print might be worth or ideas on where we might find out?
We'd be totally willing to sell for the right price, but need to find out more about this print before doing anything.

I have 41 cars all still in the original packages, never opened. Including the bus and toy car carrier truck and the carrying case that holds 6 cars. The carrying case is still in the flat cardboard package, never opened.
How can I get a value for my collection?
I also have 4 key rings, activity book and bonus book, poster, buttons etc.

Taylor Taxi was only offered to Chevron card holders. I have almost the complete set, only missing a few and a couple aren't available anymore. I'm glad I have all the retired cars though. I need to find Hope 2001, Faith, and Cherish. I can only buy them online because we don't have any Chevron stations where we live.

I have the complete collection of all of the Chevron cars from day one.
What makes my collection unique, is, not one of the Chevron Cars has ever been out of their boxes. Never touched by human hands.
Because of personal situations. I must sell my collection to the best offer.
Please refer to the above e mail.
Thank you

I too would appreciate a release number (how many of each car) for the cars as well as their original price as I know that the first three I purchased in 1996 were approximately $5.99 and it would be helpful for the larger models (Cary and Sally) as well. Thanks!

I am a car collector, and had every car that was ever made. Then in 2002, our house burned down, and we lost everything. I contacted Chevron to see if there was any way at all I could replace my collection in its entirety, and a very nice young lady in your Customer Service Dept. helped me obtain all the cars again. It cost me $400, but it was worth it! I was even able to get the Icon car. Needless to say, I have kept up my collection since that time, and am even happier about it now, because I didn't open any of them, they are all in their original boxes.
Thank you Chevron, for all your help!

I'm also a chevron cars collector, but there's one car in particular that I can't seem to find even on eBay. It's the Sept 2001 LE Taylor Taxi. Is it available any where at all???

I too have more than a complete collection of Chevron cars. I have collected them since I saw the first one. I thought it was so-o-o cute. I told my wife and daughter THESE will be of value in the future to collectables. I was right! I now seek out other cars to make up my next 2 sets.
I too would like to see a complete list, and if there is a price listing somewhere of the individual collectables.
Thank you, mitchell
ps. how about making a Chevron firetruck, gasoline hauler or motorcycle, ( I just love those eyes

Can anyone let me know where I might be able to find and buy the Hope 2002 car????
- Posted By: Trisha on May 11, 2005
I wish there were actual nubers to show hom many of each car were made. Maybe Chevron could put those numbers up on this site in the cars autobiography or have a simalar page showing how many of each car was actually produced?
