(I am also on this website for my new car idea, Variety Vechiles and my old idea, Jack Back-Up.)
When my dad came home from a 3 month buisness trip from L.A, he found a Chevron Station and only could bring two Chevron Cars because his suitcase was full after. He got me Muddie Mudster and Trevor Tow Truck.
A few weeks later, I bought Brent Blizzard and Chandler Chip on the Chevron Cars website. They took away $13 from (I think) my Mom's credit card!
P.S.: My dog Baby (mentioned in Variety Vechiles car idea) loves snow, so sometimes she sleeps with Brent Blizzard, and licks him.

Today,5/07, I just completed my collection (except for Gold Dusty)with the EBAY auction/bid purchase of DAVEY DRIVER,
A WHOPPING $78 + shipping. Still, my mouth get's dry EVERYYTIME I THINK $78

Very strange collection for an Old Biker without any children. Guess I'm my own child and a spoiled child at that.

recentlly I purchased two matching Oak & Glass cabinets to shelter and display my collection. The glass is tempered and has UV coating to protect from SUN FADE.

My best wishes to all the ChevronCar Collector's of all ages.

Ride Safe & enjoy,

  - Posted By: Ted on November 25, 2006

I am 50 years old and have every Chevron Car except Hope 01 and the Gold Dusty. I have the Autopia cars too, and they are cute, but I agree--the Chevron Cars ARE the "people" with their eyes and charming smiles, so you don't need human characters. In the same way, the dog, piggy, chicken, and Horace are perfectly all right, because animals and the family car make great "pets"! I just acquired Faith 2004 from e-bay and she is gorgeous. I would love to see an ambulance too. The Chevron Cars have never failed to put a smile on my face; and have been there cheering me up during some trying times. Thank-you Chevron! :)

  - Posted By: Ray on November 20, 2006

Hey Nick, I'm sorry to hear that you bowed to the Autopia pressure. I vow never to reward Chevron's brief lapse in judgement by spending $ on an Autopia car.
Oh, and about the fading Patty Patrol cars, my original Sam Sedan also turned completely yellow and I was forced to buy another one and keep it locked away from the elements.

I think the chevron cars made the movie "cars" look like a bad movie. The cars windows were white with eyeballs bouncing around on them. They were on top of the window so if something hit the windshield the cars would go blind. I like the way the chevron cars put the eyes on the headlights, so they can see better!

  - Posted By: anonymous on August 16, 2006

I think the Chevron Cars are a cheap sell out of the autopia cars. They are much better than the chevron cars. I mean, they have people in them! How's a car going to go without people in them!

  - Posted By: somebody on August 16, 2006

I found out about the Gold Autopia Car. It is a dark gold Dusty special eddition 2000. There where only 1,000 of them made. They are to commemorate the grand opening of the Autopia ride in Disneyland, CAlifornia. They are not usually seen, but go for as much as $270 on Ebay.com. They were given to the Disneyland employees. I really want it though. I also read something about a special edition Sparky or something. Bye

I am 66 years young female and did own a liquor until Oct.,2005. I had a shelf built in my store over the walk in cooler for my Chevron cars, when I sold the new owner wanted me to leave the cars for display so people would know I was still in the neighborhood ( I was in the business for sooooo many years). I left them
but had him signed papers that I still own the cars. I even bought a little Thunderbird car because it looks like my Chevron cars. I love them.

i have brought every car for my dad for his birthday, fathersday and christmas just depending on what month they come out. he has everyone, but hope01 and thats because i didn't know it was out. my dad is 64years old.

I so glad to see other grandparents collecting cars. I am 57 and have most of the cars and am trying to complete my collection. Most of the are out of package and played with, but I bought them because they were cute, not for the resale value

  - Posted By: Dusty on May 6, 2006

Ok lets clar up some confusion.....First Paty Patrol when she first came out her white faded to yellow. so it is possible to have a yellow and black Patty Patrol. Also Tyler Taxi also fades, these cars were remade not to fade.
Now for Autopia, THese cars were released when Disneyland opened AUtopia, there are in fact Gold Dustys that were given as special prizes during the Grand Opening in Disneyland, The top execs of Disneyland also got one. SO they do exist. THey are very rare and you arent finding one, but hey if someone put one on ebay it would sell for alot.
As for Adults collecting I am 34 and have everyone including a Wendy Wagon without eyelashes or whatever...I watch for the new car to be released and go right away to the nearest chevron to get it.
I also have the Taylor taxi and no CC explain that one? I contacted Chevron and told them my story and they let me buy one, so anything is possible.
Maybe if we all ask nicely they will reconsider Hope 2001.

Hope this clears the air n Patty Tyler and Goldy.
Dont forget there is a plastic playmat as well and a fun filled tracel box that comes with Icon, and parking structures for storage.
It is ok to have them all out of packages mine are And I truely agree ow can you have a cute little car and not let a kid play with it?

  - Posted By: sis on May 5, 2006

i have a gold autopia. not sure if i want to sell it though. have seen it go for 300.00 on ebay. what do you suppose it would sell for now?

  - Posted By: DON on March 31, 2006

I have all the chevron cars except the autopia which don't rate any comment. I display all my babies on the walls of my cabin. I've been considering painting a highway on the walls, which are white, so the cars will look like they are actually traveling. Its lots of fun to watch people's expressions when they come inside and see the cars all looking back at them. I did'nt keep all the packaging, since the whole point of having the collection was to enjoy it now, out of the box and free. Of course no one is allowed to play with them. I am hoping the next car is the car towing the rv trailer, and after that the fire truck. I am 61, never too old to enjoy silly things.

  - Posted By: sasha on March 28, 2006

I use to display my in the boxes they came in, but I dusted them of and bubble packed them in a box.

My son opened all of his and have them displayed on shelves.

  - Posted By: dcu on March 22, 2006

I need the Gold Autopia car. My mother and I are obsessed with owning every car. We have them all in their original packaging, except that Gold one. I can't find it on ebay. I have the first 4 cars in the boxes and in the blister packages. I have to have them all. Why didn't chevron ever post it on their website that this car even existed? I even have lots of car pins. I need it all, or I can never rest. Does anyone know someone who has that Gold Dusty?

  - Posted By: Becky on March 21, 2006

I don't know if it was a mistake, but there are 2 different Wendy's. Mine, still in the box (cardbord box from the first edition) has eyelashes on the eyes.

My son's in the plastic show container (2nd edition) has no eyelashes on the eyes.

I don't think the second edition got eyelashes on Wendy.

I just went down and opened my collection box to find out.

  - Posted By: dcu on March 19, 2006

I am curious if anyone has left their cars in the boxes. I have never opened any of the packaging. Someone told me they would be worth more if I didn't open them. Of course, I wouldn't think of selling them. Please post how you display yours, in or out of box! Thanks!

  - Posted By: Nancy on March 18, 2006

I'm also an "older kid" (57 in a couple of weeks) and have been collecting The Cars since day one. I've got every one of them, except the Freddie Mini, and will keep on buying them. I've kept all of mine in their original packaging and on the top shelves of my home office bookcases--they're great to look at and nobody messes with them. I've previously suggested a Frances, or Francis, Firetruck and an Amber Ambulance as a tribute to firefighter and EMS rescue personnel so we'll see if they become a reality. It's great to read all the comments sent in by such loyal fans. Keep those cars coming and Thanks!

I have been collecting from the start but threw time I did miss one or 4 so I became a member of chevron bolg. culb I have been reading all the comments from every one it has been a big help to me .To any one whow is missing cars e-bay is not the only place to find them .I have gone to flee markets tag sales estate sales (THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO FIND THEM.)second hand stors I love these little cars so much that everyday I'am looking to find extras ones. Thay bring out the KID in me Ilove it,I'am a 52 yr. old one.Yes it would be nice to see all these other cars that people have been talking about. Thank-You and have fun. By-By Joseph.

i want every car there is there totally awesome and im 27 years old and been collecting since 16 i will never stop collecting thank you so much

  - Posted By: james on January 13, 2006

After further research (I still could be wrong) of photographs of wendy wagon, it seems that the original wendy wagon that came in the box back in 1996 HAD eyelashes. The second release of wendy wagon which came in a blister package a few years later DOES NOT have eyelashes. Which to me would make the "with eyelashes" more rare. I haven't looked into my collection because they are all sealed up in boxes. I haven't seen them for years. I'll do some further research to varify my claim. Which also raises another point. My patty patrol isn't faded, for obvious reasons

  - Posted By: Rex on January 11, 2006

Is there a Black & Gray Dusty?

  - Posted By: Lyn on January 10, 2006

i have 40 chevron cars can u please list all your cars so i can see that cars i am missing and what is the total cars that were made to date oh by the way i am 80 yrs old been collectinfg since they 1st came out enjoy every minuit of collecting

  - Posted By: George on January 6, 2006

I have been collecting these cars since day one...and I am a grown up kid, too (35).

This is my first visit to the chat site, and I'm discovering cars I didn't know existed...very disturbing. I have all the regular editions, plus the special editions and limited editions, but what is all this about a wendy wagon with no eyebrows/eyelashes???

Please inform me as to whether these Wendy's were accidentally released with errors or were they released on purpose??? Does anyone know?

I also didn't know about the gold autopia car and it bothers me a little that I don't have EVERY car released...but as with almost everyone else, I think these cars are ugly and the people ruin the whole thing.

Okay, so let me know about this whole Wendy Wagon phenomenon.

Thanks.

  - Posted By: kristie on January 6, 2006

Is there anyway I can get every year of the breast cancer cars? I'm alate joiner of the cars. Thank-you

  - Posted By: Charlotte on January 6, 2006

Sorry Roberta, but you are wrong. There is an autopia dusty which is gold. There are 2 versions of it. One which came in a blue velvet bag and one that came in a half plastic package without the cardboard backing. They were given to disney executives and employees when they reopened the autopia ride at disneyland back in 2000. That was the only way to get that car. They have rarely been seen on ebay and I believe that they have gone for as much as $250 (the actual price I could be wrong on). So now you can be as ticked off as I was when I found out because I now do not have all the cars because of the rare gold autopia dusty. It didn't have people with mouse ears in it either.

ROBERTA

YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT THE AUTOPIA CARS THY ARE UGLY BUT EVEN THOUGH I SAID I WUOLD NEVER GET ONE IN A PREVIOUS COMMENT i THINK I WILLA ACTUALY GET ONE

  - Posted By: Nick on November 3, 2005

First of all; there are ONLY 4 autotopia cars.. they are Orange, Blue,Dark Green metal flake and YELLOW, NOT GOLD. I think they are the UGLIEST cars ever!! But I got them anyway to have ALL the cars. I bought 2 sets of the baby cars with their faces facing out so I can see them in the trailer of Cary Carrier and have the key chain cars too. There is NO travel trailer but there IS a wagon... Wendy Wagon. The only car I kept in the box is Taylor Taxi; all others are on shelves over my desk in my room. I have all the original papers on each car. Soon as I get them home I take them out of their boxes and put them up on the shelf. I am 56 and think these cars are just adorable. Ever since I saw them on the commercials I just had to have them all. Thank goodness there was a station which sold all the old cars from the beginning and I bought them and have just continued collecting them ever since... I have every single one. When I total up the price of all the cars.. wow... I can't believe I have spent that much $ on them but I have NO regrets at all. I LOVE THEM ALL ! Each time I look up while at my computer I get the pleasure of looking at them each day. And yes, a Fire Truck would be a fine addition to the whole collection.

  - Posted By: Roberta on November 1, 2005

HI,I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED YOUR CHEVRON CARS FROM DAY ONE.SOOO I BOUGHT ALL OF THEM, INFACT THREE OF EACH.(ALL)ARE IN THERE ORIGINAL BOXES IN BUBBLE BAGS.TONS OF PEOPLE TELL ME THEY WISH THEY HAD STARTED IN 1996.CHEVRON CARS DO HAVE THERE OWN WEBSITE, TO BUY AND SELL. JAMES

I have all the cars except for the gold Autotopia car. My youngest son collects them with me. They are a real lot of fun to have.

  - Posted By: Alex on October 27, 2005

It was mentioned above that there is a Wendy Wagon without eyebrows variant. I think that he meant eye lashes but whatever the case, does anyone have any information about this. This is the first that I've heard of it

  - Posted By: RHT on October 3, 2005

I'm another senior citizen in my late 60's that loves these cars. I have all 48. I have the first 4 in their original carboard boxes and the Limited Editions, Taylor Taxi, Davey Driver and the Icon Car (Ser# 34404) in the Fun Club box. I bought the cars for display. My grandchildren will just have to wait to play with them. I picked up 4 used unpackaged cars to use on Cary Carrier. I don't have any favorites. I love all of them.
I would like to have the very rare gold Autopia car. Maybe some day I'll come across one. I understand only 1000 were made in 2000. Does anyone know how many Icon cars were made?

  - Posted By: John on September 29, 2005

I am 62 years old and have been collecting Chevron cars
from the beginng. However, somewhere I missed the
following: LE-1 Davey Driver,SE-3 Hope and SE-4 Faith.
I have some extras available I would be willing to trade
for the above. They are; Tina Turbo, Kelly Kompact, Baily
Bouncer, Brandon Bumper, Skyler Scamper, Zachary Zoomer, Riley Roadster and SE-2 Hope 2002.
I would really like to see the wagon and travel trailer
as seen in TV commercials available at Chevron stations.

  - Posted By: geno on September 28, 2005

I just read a comment that asked,"Do adults buy the Chevron Cars?" You betcha they do. I am a 58 year old "KID" who has all of the Chevron Cars and would not part with them for anything. I don't even let my grandchildren play with them. They are all still in the original boxes and stacked neatly on shelves that my husband made for me. I am looking forward to having a tractor, ambulance, armored car & any other type vehicle used on a farm being made.

I have now completed my complete collection of chevron cars! I finally got the gold taxi!
I'm proud of my collection! and I am 41 years old! I keep all of my cars in a wood and plexiglass case that I made myself so I can show them off.
I even have 'Faith', I can't wait for the next car to come out!
I have Wendy with eyebrows on the movable eyes.

  - Posted By: ap on August 31, 2005

I liked the idea of having a fire truck for the next toy vehicle. My husband went to a chevron in Utah and told me he bought a chevron firetruck for our grandson. I didn't think that you had made one so I checked the the website. I think he must have been mistaken. I don't see one listed.

I think it's a wonderful idea to have one. Maybe even an ambulance later. You want to be able to have all vehicles available that would be in a town.

Also, about the Hope 2001, How about making it one more time so that those that missed it could get one. Maybe package it with a small one just to make it a little different. I really regret not getting one when it was available. thank you.

  - Posted By: Allan on July 14, 2005

Can you please send Patty Patrol to Chevron gas stations before next spring? I REALLY want to get her and my parents won't let me use E-bay. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!

  - Posted By: Kacie on July 12, 2005

The collection is still a collection without the original packaging, right?

Please advise...My son loves to play with these and I just couldn't bear to let him see them all the time without opening them up...They're just so cute.

Anyway, when we recently moved, all of my boxes of original packaging was tossed. Bummer...I still have all of the paperwork that came with each though.

Any thoughts?

Now I have every car ever made, except Hope, Hope 2002, and the Gold Autopia (but i mean, how many people have that car.)

  - Posted By: TJ on July 6, 2005

I wonder how many Chevron car collectors/owners are adults? I'm 65 years old and have all the cars in all their original packages. My family and friends think it's cool. Maybe one of my great-great grandchildren will show them on antiques roadshow someday and they'll be worth thousands of dollars :-)

  - Posted By: alggator on July 2, 2005

Yes, I agree. The Autopia cars can be considered Chevron cars or not, depending on your point of veiw. I do think that they killed the spirit of the cars for a while, but i did buy them. Funny story actually, we were driving to Disneyland (its close by) and we stopped to get gas. I went in and i saw three of the autopia cars, so i bought them because i was excited for the trip! But, now i regret it. Whenever i play Chevron Cars with my friends, we use them as the freaks who guard Disneyland. The only people who go into Disneyland are the mini keychain cars. Those are the babaies. :)

  - Posted By: TJ on June 30, 2005

When I first got a cheron car I loved it I kept wanting more and more but then I stoped collecting them but as soon as I found out about Payton Pizza for some reason I got crazy about them again. I got 8 in one day. You are so right about the Autopia cars they are a disgrace, I have almost every Chevron car but I'll never get one of the Autopia cars.

  - Posted By: Nick on June 23, 2005

Yes, I too own every Chevron Car ever made, anywhere. With the exception of all the Autopia cars, which I do not consider to be worthy of the Chevron Cars tradition. The Autopia cars were a cheap sellout, and contradict the very spirit of the Chevron Cars. Since the beginning, Chevron Cars have been popular for one simple reason: the cars each have their own individual personality. They have never needed a human being sitting behind the wheel! The Autopia cars ruin the entire mystique by placing PEOPLE in the cars!!

  - Posted By: Tom on June 21, 2005

i love the chevron cars they are sooo cool! i have over 20 in my collection. they make going to the gas station fun.

I have just finished displaying all the cars in the car collection including the 4 breast cancer cars and the 4 disney car and all the special edition cars. I am looking forward to the new car being released to add it to my collection. When will it be released to the stations. I know it is coming out on the internet in July. My wife and I think that your company should think about adding a fire truck to your line of cars.

Will be looking for all the new cars as they come out for the collection.

My grandsons like looking at the cars and also playing with them.

  - Posted By: George on June 4, 2005

Why are all these cars "never going to be made again"? thats stupid. if they want to make money they should sell them because they could make a lot more money if they cell the cars a resonable price than by having the people who DO have them cell them for 70 bucks just so they get the money. Chevron isnt benifitting.

  - Posted By: TJ on May 30, 2005

I am seriously bummed out. I thought that I had all the cars and then come to find out that there is a rare gold autopia dusty out there. Geesh

Why hasn't the Chevron website shown this car on the "list of all cars ever made" list.

Patty Patrol, in her first set was one that would fade from white to yellow if left in sunlight.
My patty is also yellow and black now. I too have every car and even ones you can only get online.
I love my cars and wouldnt trade them for the world.
I know that chevron rereleased a patty patrol that wasnt suppose to fade I do not have that one.

Deb,

I think there's only one color of Patty Patrol. Are you sure it's a Patty Patrol and not a Taxi? Can you post a picture of it so we can see it? Maybe someone did a custom paint job!! That would be cool!

I purchased a used Patty Patrol that is yellow and black. Can anyone tell me the color variations for this car? Do other cars have some color variations?
